In honour of our Coach Laiken, we have created this safe space for our rangatahi to come together as a Basketball whanau and check in on each other while shooting hoops.
Come down to GI Town Centre to help us bring awareness to our community. We are here every evening in the month of March. This year our evenings end with a Karakia at 11.24pm. The 24th minute is to remember a whānau member we have lost to Domestic Violence.
We're so proud of our community allowing basketball to help transform our children's lives with hope of a bright future on or off the court. We have supported each other throughout the month of March to bring awareness of some big issues; youth suicide, domestic violence and substance abuse. Thankyou to everyone who has supported our kaupapa in person or in prayer, we appreciate you! Thankyou
It's a spiritual battle we're all fighting out here. Praying our children know to reach out for help if they need it and basketball continues to be a safe space for them all in our community
Let's continue our year together in Mana, not just in March. We can March thru another year together in Unity.
Year 4 bring it on.
Shout out to Brutharodz bringing the vibez for GI.
